You can take your pick from a euphoric colour palette of sea green, golden olive, reef blue, canary yellow and blue sapphire.

If you like beauty to be a little understated, Fabindia has a lovely range of home linen and accessories this year. The Kalamkari printed Rashida, priced at Rs1,090, is made of pure cotton and gives the whole room a very ethnic Indian touch.

For something more colourful, take a look at the Gudri cotton embroidered bedspreads at Rs2,430. This stylish combination of rich colours and cheerful prints, the hand-crafted cotton bed cover uses traditional ‘gudri’ technique, which refers to a quilted coverlet.
