Fancy dhoti shorts with ganji — The latest fashion for men
Whether you’re ready or not, fashion for men is all set to get funky this summer!
Borrowing from fashion lingo — it’s time to give your wardrobe a Spring/Summer makeover. And while women can finally bring out the florals in pastel cotton shades, men are often seen struggling, trying to update their wardrobe to keep up with seasonal trends.
In an attempt to simplify things, designer Rajat Tangri says that structure and edgy stuff is in for men. His new line has jackets with spikes on the shoulders and in textured fabrics. “Trench coats are very in,” reveals the designer, adding that the coats in lighter fabrics suit the weather in Mumbai. “Men can experiment with lapels — folded, cut in half and the like. The length of the trenchcoat also need not conform to tradition — the new-age trench coat is shorter than a regular one and longer than a jacket,” explains Rajat.
Actor-turned-designer Shraddha Nigam says that men are experimenting with their clothes more than ever now, especially with the trousers. “Fun pants are very in or trousers that’ve been tweaked a little. Nothing too radical though. Very few men experiment with bold colours like yellow or orange pants,” says Shraddha, who recommends drop-crotch trousers, dhoti shorts, dhotis and dogris. “Team them with anything — from a ganji to a kurta. These roomy pants are just so right and fun way to dress up in the summer,” she adds.

One can style the outfit by carrying a canvas bag, loafers. “Linen jackets with sleek Mandarin collars are essential for a relaxed look,” he says.
