1.    Don’t go binge drinking; it’s the party season now and every other day you need to head to one. Always bear in mind not to go over the top, maintain balance and go easy with the drinks.

2.    Alcohol dehydrates you, so make sure you drink a lot of water and keep yourself hydrated all the times especially after a night of drinking. Also make sure that you drink a glass of water between each drink.

3.    Do a lot of cardio to sweat it out because it helps let the alcohol out of the blood stream.

4.    Take a steam bath if you can; it detoxifies you and helps to rid the body of alcohol.

5.    Don’t do any heavy weight training before partying, because weight training strains the muscle and after all the drinking and dancing, the muscles are stressed further and that’s not good for the body.

6.    Do power yoga or cardio before you head out to a party. It will totally refresh you.

7.    Avoid cocktails as the calorie levels are much higher in them. Instead, settle for drinks like vodka with a fresh fruit juice if possible.

8.    Never drink on an empty stomach, you will end up with a hangover.

9.    Don’t mix your drinks. It’s one of the worst ways to torture the body. Stick to one variant such as beer, vodka or wine.

10.    After drinking and partying, you’ll probably feel bloated because of all the dehydration. Drink a lot of water through the day; it’s one of the best ways to get back to normal routine. Remember that you are not sick, so you don’t have to do anything over the top to ‘fix’ yourself.

11.    Avoid fried snacks as much as possible when you’re out and especially between drinks!  Instead, try roasted or barbecued food, like tandoori chicken, paneer tikka or kebabs.
