David Beckham arrived at the royal wedding on Friday looking every bit the star that he is, but there was, however, a small blunder.

The footballer arrived at Westminster Abbey proudly wearing his OBE medal displayed - but unfortunately, David wore it on his right lapel, reports the Daily Mail.

Very few would have even noticed, but those in the know were quick to comment on the 35-year-old's misstep.

Traditionally, the OBE medal is worn on the left side, and commentators during the coverage noted the faux pas during their telecasts.

Either he noticed others inside the Abbey wearing their own medals on the left, or someone had a quiet word to him - but before the ceremony had even begun, David had switched it over to the other side.

Despite this, the Beckhams were in high spirits and were spotted chatting animatedly to fellow guests Guy Ritchie and Sir Trevor Brooking.
