Celeb couples who pranked each other

Celebrity couples have often been looked upto for #Relationship goals, however, some of them also believe in having a good laugh at the other’s expense. And one does not have to wait for April Fools’ Day to draw inspiration from these epic pranks that these famous faces pulled on each other. While some of them are outright nasty, there are others that you simply can’t help but marvel at their ingenuity. Read on for some laughs and inspiration for your next prank.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie

Fans of Game of Thrones stars have seen many of their favourite characters getting killed off in some of the most brutal ways. Even the actors can’t escape the brutality considering Valar Morghulis (that translates as, ‘All men must die’ in High Valyrian) is a reality on the show.’ But even that could not have prepared GOT star Rose for the brutal April Fools’ Day prank that her fiancée and co-star from the show, Kit Harington pulled on her some time back. He explained  that his family takes the holiday very seriously on The Jonathan Ross Show — so seriously that putting a severed head in his likeness in the fridge seemed like a good idea. The actor shared a video of his fiancée’s horrified reaction to the prop on the talk show. “After (screaming) she was in tears and I was there going, ‘April Fools’!’” he said. “It didn’t go down well.”

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively

This celebrity couple has a history of taking digs at each other. And birthdays are no different. When Ryan Reynolds posted wishing his wife Blake for her birthday a couple of months ago, the actor shared a photo of the couple, but cropped Lively out almost completely. “Happy Birthday to my amazing wife,” his caption read. Not one to let things go, Lively got even on his birthday. The actress took to Instagram to commemorate her spouse’s big day. But instead of posting a cute photo of Reynolds or a photo of them as a pair, she chose to share a snapshot of him with Ryan Gosling. The image is cropped so that Reynolds is barely visible, and Gosling takes up the bulk of the frame. “Happy Birthday, baby,” Lively captioned the ‘gram. Clearly, these two have mastered the art of banter, and don’t need to wait for April Fool’s Day to pull a fast one. Letting the laughs come in day after day.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake

You maybe used to prim and proper poses on the red carpet, but there are times when we also get to see some Tomfoolery too. As in the case of Justin Timberlake who pranked his wife on the Oscars red carpet in 2017. His photobombing ruined Jessica’s perfectly glamorous picture but had everyone smiling including his wife Jessica.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi

Ellen DeGeneres has built her reputation over the years as a popular talk show host and a prankster who enjoys laughing at herself. DeGenres has not even spared her wife Portia when it comes to raising some laughs. At one time, DeGeneres tweeted a video of de Rossi’s workout routine. @PortiadeRossi said I could watch her do her @JaneFonda workout. She didn’t say anything about filming & tweeting it. Portia responded with a tweet of her own saying, “Can’t a girl do a little @Janefonda Low-Impact workout in peace??! @TheEllenShow IT’S ON!”. And in the true spirit of giving back, Portia got her own by shared a video of DeGeneres running and singing on her treadmill. She tweeted, “I got you back @theellenshow! Don’t believe me? Just watch,” and shared a link to the video. And DeGeneres was quick to respond with another tweet, saying, “You’re pretty brave for someone who likes to do naked pilates.”

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith

You are never too old to prank someone, clearly that seems to be an idea that sits well with actor Will Smith. When one has a lot of time on their hands, they can be pretty creative even making wardrobe adjustments that are uncalled for. As in the case of Smith, back in 2015, he found himself with a little free time and decided to make some secret adjustments to his wife‘s wardrobe. And even admitted as much in an Instagram post where he said, “I got board (sic) and put a Popsicle stick under Jada’s strap. I wonder how long before she notices,” he captioned a stealthy shot of Pinkett Smith. (And yes, he did explain his bored v. board mix-up in another post).

Pinkett Smith joined in on the fun, she was all smiles and even shared a, “She noticed” pic.
