Bad Salsa, which has a real rags-to-riches story, received a standing ovation from judges at America's Got Talent
Bad Salsa did it again! They have taken the internet by storm! The dancers, compising of Indian farmer's daughter Sonali Majumdar, along with Maraju Sumanth from Kolkata, did not only receive a standing ovation from judges at the 'America's Got Talent' finale, but have also been winning over people all across.
This time around, Bad Salsa picked a song loved over generations - Bachna Ae Haseeno. The song, originally picturized on late veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, was reprised with his son Ranbir Kapoor. Bad Salsa picked Ranbir's song for their finale performance.
From spinning around like never before to stunts that would make your jaws drop to the floor, Bad Salsa left no leaf unturned. Believe it or not, there was actually a stunt of Sonali standing atop Maraju's head, putting her leg over her head, and spinning in the air, only to be caught by him.

Judges Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Howie Mandel gave them a standing ovation, while the host Terry Crews was equally amazed with the performance.
Previously in one of the episodes, the duo had picked Ranveer Singh's 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela's popular song 'Tattad Tattad' to bring Bollywood to ATG stage, along with a twist of Salsa. They performed air throws, continuous twirling, among other techniques, while doing Salsa on the song.
Bad Salsa made it to the list of top 10 performers on the stage at the finale. Other acts were by - Roberta Bettaglia, Archie Williams, Broken Roots, Brandon Leake, Alan Silva, Christina Rae, Daneliya Tuleshova, Bello Sisters and Kenadi Dodds.
America's Got Talent was in its 15th season, and people had hopes that Bad Salsa Group could win the show this year, but Brandon Leake took home the trophy. Sonali had previously won India's Got Talent season four, when she was only seven-year-old. She has also been a part of Britain's Got Talent: The Champions. For the uninformed, Sonali has also been part of 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa'.
