The demonetization issue is clearly affecting more than just the common man. Apparently the serpentine queues that are now a common sight at the local ATM is now infused with Bollywood as well. A few days ago in Mumbai, the people in one of the queues were pleasantly surprised to find Anil Kapoor standing among them.
The 59-year-old Bollywood star who has also appeared in numerous Hollywood productions such as Slumdog Millionaire and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, obliged several people with selfies, and also retweeted one user along with her visibly gleeful friend. He tweeted, "Taking selfies in an ATM line: check ? Thanks to #DeMonetisation, I get to meet you lovely people @apoorva_m1!"
The user who posted the selfie, Apoorva M, was quick to point out that the picture with the star was in no way representative of the pain that demonetization is. Her tweet has since been retweeted over 630 times, where she claims to have garnered about 200 additional followers since she posted her star selfie.
