Vacation is synonymous with an urge of the inner-self for vacating oneself from any sorts of obligatory compulsions both mentally and physically.

Hence, it becomes a Herculean task to regain the momentum and tempo to act promptly after being back from holidaying.

As it is a fixed holiday between the terms in one’s workplace as well as an action of leaving something one previously occupied, to be back in harness and resume one’s official assignments very often turns out to be an uphill task/taxation.

Lack of zeal along with a lethargic spirit is obvious as the waned vigour to rework post-vacation is like evoking the goddess of energy to restore the requisite stamina and mood for readjusting with even the temporarily forsaken work culture. The motivational level seems to have gone kaput.

Vacation plays a pivotal role since it benefits our head, heart and body to get recharged after the monotonous and stereotyped daily chores.

Notwithstanding that, the recharged self seems to be shying away from putting once again one’s shoulder to the wheel and setting forth to work vigourously as usual.

While reasons for such a psychic state are many, the prime causes can be cited below.

Vacationing tunes up ‘out of sight, out of mind’. By distancing oneself from one’s work for the sake of rest and relaxation, an individual appears to even pooh-poohing his/her daily bread and butter. Unless and until, the empty belly starts pinching and pricking, the body already on a reclining mode is even least bothered about hunger and thirst.

Due to the hangover of vacation, the sight of a mole hill too creates the hallucination of scaling up a high mountain after being back at work.

The positivity that previously propped us up prior to the mood of vacation gets obviously upset by negativity and lackadaisical attitude. An ailing sense of “can’t do and complete” reign supreme in a doer. Thus, the dithering doer fails to rediscover the erstwhile energy and moral courage.

Nevertheless, one has to grind one’s axe by reinventing the needed ways and means to recall the motivational level and break the ice.

Experts advise that one should better opt for seeking the aid and precious piece of advice from one’s colleagues to accomplish the project or target one is entrusted with either prior to the vacation or post-vacationing.

The incomplete task/project may warrant extra time even back at home from the office/workplace. Since vacation has already been enjoyed, one has to reset one’s mind and physique in a bid to muster the motivation earnestly.

It would be wise then to mull over the work spirit before the vacation spent and draw inspiration.

Although our past is believed to be dead, its fond memories and inspirational anecdotes act as a driving force in us to propel and steer across the stormy waves so that we anchor at the shore of destination.

One has to set out in the voyage on a mission mode being a part and parcel of the esprit de corps (team work).

It is the common spirit that exists in the members of a group that is marked with enthusiasm, devotion and strong regard for the honour of the group.

One has to be selfless for a larger and common interest. It needs to be seriously pondered over the outcomes one’s sincere efforts would benefit the team, organization as well as the society.

In order to climb up one’s career ladder, one ought to be ready for accepting challenges in life as the wise saying goes: “No Risk, No Gain.”

For bracing oneself up for braving challenges in every walk and step of life, we must be in quest of the kick and thrill in shape fresh opportunities. Simultaneously, we must be armed with the requisite and appealing skills. This can be done by refreshing ourselves with the skill-enhancement training. Because, the world is changing and changeable; this is the go of the world.

Such an endeavour would definitely energise and boost up our talent to take the world in our stride.

The bottom line in our life should be: “It’s good to deem ourselves to be important, but it is more important to be good.”
