Exceptional deals, unique opportunities and unforgettable experiences, which would otherwise be unavailable... Quintessentially Lifestyle grants you your heart's desire, writes Avril-Ann Braganza
Have you ever had your heart set on a limited-edition Berkin bag that's no longer available? Or maybe, you'd like to cook up a storm during a cooking class with a Michelin Star Chef? Perhaps meet a pop singer whom you're a big fan of? Whatever your wish, Quintessentially Lifestyle, a private members' club with a global luxury lifestyle concierge service, promises to make it happen, unless of course it's illegal or immoral.
Founded in London, Quintessentially Lifestyle has a global presence, including India. It has catered to uber-HNI clients globally, including Madonna, Mick Jagger, and Gwyneth Paltrow. When Quintessentially Lifestyle first launched in 2000, "we saw that there was an opportunity to assist extremely successful, yet time-poor individuals in achieving a more exciting, more streamlined and better-connected lifestyle. Offering them access to unique opportunities, instantly solving their daily problems, and generally taking the stress out of day-to-day life seemed to be something a large number of Londoners required. It turns out there were individuals worldwide demanding this and so we took the company across the globe," says Ben Elliot, Co-founder, Quintessentially.
Quintessentially Lifestyle provides its members with lifestyle managment 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, wherever you are in the world. "Primary requests fall into various categories – dining, nightlife, travel, hotel bookings, delivery/utility, events access and sourcing," says Kanika Gogna, Director Marketing, Quintessentially India. Their specialist contacts means that whatever you need, be it tickets to top sporting events or a last-minute table at the most popular restaurant in the city – Quintessentially promises to deliver. But they also get several unusual requests, which means they've arranged to fly in rare twin Japanese Shiba-Inu puppies, booked a palace and hired a charter helicopter for a marriage proposal, and rescued a member's dog, which was lost in the Everglades. They've also arranged a romantic meal on an iceberg, located a particular type of ostrich feather to fix a member's dress, procurred a discontinued exclusive item, arranged for a rare, vintage Japanese whiskey, and organized 500 exotic flowers in the trunk of a member's car to surprise his beloved.
With almost 500 requests coming in per month, members in India have a diverse requests from practical aid, access, dining and travel to sourcing unique items in India and globally. "Over the last two years, there has been more emphasis towards seeking 'experiences', including 'experiential travel and dining' opportunities," says Gogna. Members pick their destinations based on exotic experiences such as witnessing the Aurora Borealis in Norway, observing gorilla wildlife in Uganda, being surrounded by cherry blossoms in Japan, or visiting the Black Forest in Germany. Gastronomy-based experiences are also another favorite!
