Halloween is incomplete without a few things such as chills, shrills and thrills, innovative spooky costumes, and of course, children and adults going trick-or-treating.

However, this year might be a tad bit different than the others in that its mostly going be a stay-at-home celebration keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic that has shook the world and forced people across the globe to adopt new ways to work, live and celebrate.

And just because you need to be home, it doesn't mean that Halloween is going to be less fun this year.

On the brighter side, the spirits among people are still high and this only means that we need to keep aside the traditional ways for now and look at more fun, creative means and brainstorm ideas to celebrate Halloween and make it an epic one this year.

So, for all those whose Halloween spirits are still high, below listed are some ideas that might help you celebrate and have fun while keeping safety in mind.

Take a look.

Spook the snack or dessert out of it

Since traditional Halloween activities are out of the question this year such as going trick-or-treating, why not spend the time cooking something special and spooky for your close ones! You could maybe try your hand at decorating some spooky cookies or get creative with witch cupcakes. This way, you'll end up having something delicious to eat and have a Halloween activity that you can spend your time doing.

Watch a horror flick

No celebration is complete without a movie night marathon. Various OTT platforms have packed it all for a spooky binge therapy. So, what are you waiting for? Plan a night of movies with your friends and have fun spooking each other while watching a Halloween-themed flick.

Attend/host a virtual Halloween party; dress up and dance to some spooky songs

After months in lockdown and struggling to keep up with work, while attending virtual meetings and ordering things online rather than visiting stores physically, by now we are all pros at organising virtual events. So, why not host a virtual Halloween party.

You can dress up and enjoy the evening with your friends from the comfort and safety of your homes while dancing to the tunes of some spooky Halloween numbers.

A great idea! Isn't it?

Make a spooky fall craft/Carve pumpkins and decorate

We aren't venturing out, but that doesn't mean we can decorate our house! Halloween is the perfect time for making those fall crafts (so that you can use them for Thanksgiving as well) and, use it to decorate your home. In fact, now is also a good time to indulge in pumpkin carving activity.

Go ‘ghosting’

Well, since you can't go trick-or-treating this year, why not go ghosting! What's that, you ask?

For ghosting, you just have to create a treat bag of goodies for a friend or a neighbour and leave it on their doorstep with a note inside to pass it on (as in, create a new treat bag and "ghost" someone else). It's simple, creative and fun!
