The shubh muhurat for tying rakhi on August 9 is from 5:37 AM to 1:24 PM. Purnima tithi, begins August 8 at 2:12 PM, ends August 9 at 1:24 PM. Avoid bhadra kaal for rituals.

Bhadra Kaal is considered inauspicious for performing rituals like Rakhi. As per Hindu texts, Raksha Bandhan rituals should be avoided during Bhadra. Luckily, it ends early, making the day ideal for celebration.
