Kissing is a special way of expressing love. It's an integrel part of any healthy reltionship. Induldging in this physical form of intimacy will always make your partner feel loved and appreciated.  And as poet Rupert Brooke has rightly said, "A kiss makes the heart young again and wipes out the years".

Kissing ignites feelings of bonding and affection, stimulating the brain's pleasure centre which leads to secretion of  'happy hormones' in the body. These happy hornomes, namely, Oxytocin, Dopamine and Serotonin are released when you experience pleasure. Kissing also reduces Cortisol levels, i.e, stress hormone in the body.

When you kiss, you're swapping saliva. Studies say that kissing stimulates the flow of saliva, which in turn neutralises acids, remineralises teeth and flushes away food particles. Kissing also helps to replenish healthy bacteria in your mouth.

Did you know that this pleasurable activity can also lead to weight loss?  According to studies, during a really passionate kiss, you might burn two calories a minute, which is double of you metablic rate.

The day after Kiss day is the much awaited Valentine's Day. People across the globe will be celebrating the day with their loved ones. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has dampened the mood of many, Valentine's week celebrations have brought a smile to people's faces.
