Braj Holi 2025 Schedule: A vibrant celebration across Mathura, Vrindavan, and Barsana

Lathmar Holi is one of the most iconic traditions of Braj. On March 8 in Barsana and March 9 in Nandgaon, women playfully beat men with sticks while the men try to protect themselves with shields. This celebration is inspired by Radha and Krishna's playful love story.

On March 10, the Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan hosts a special Holi celebration where flower petals replace traditional colors. Devotees experience a mesmerizing spiritual atmosphere as priests shower petals on visitors.

Laddu Holi, celebrated on March 7 at Ladliji Mahal, marks the start of the grand Holi festivities in Braj. Devotees throw sweets instead of colors, making this a joyful and unique tradition.

Rangbhari Ekadashi on March 10 is an important day when colors officially begin to spread across Mathura. Devotees gather at the Dwarkadheesh Temple to celebrate Holi with devotional songs and Krishna bhajans.

On March 13, Holika Dahan is observed with bonfires across the Braj region, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. On March 14, Dhulandi (Rangon ki Holi) is celebrated with vibrant colors and festive joy.

The Huranga celebration starts on March 15 at Baldev's Dauji Temple and continues in different villages like Nandgaon, Jao, Batain, and Gidoh until March 21. Women chase and splash men with colors, creating a lively atmosphere.

The Charakula Dance is deeply rooted in Braj’s cultural heritage and is performed in Mukharai  on March 18 where women balance large pots on their heads while dancing to devotional songs of Lord Krishna.

The final event of Braj Holi 2025 takes place on March 22 at Ranganathji Temple in Vrindavan. Devotees gather to celebrate Holi in a spiritual setting, marking the end of the 40-day-long festival.
