You are based out of Dubai and travel across countries for your business. How much has your global exposure helped? It really helps when you travel because your inspiration comes from everything you see around. You learn a lot rather than being restricted to one place. Travelling has really made me a better person and of course, a better designer because I take inspiration from everything.Who is the Hema Kaul woman? She is very feminine. She's someone who likes to stand out in a crowd. I love to make these dramatic pieces for her. She's someone who wants to have that wow factor when she lands up at a party or anywhere. She's somebody who loves the drama of standing out in a crowd.Besides red carpet, are you doing day pieces as well? The brand is more evening. I am trying to get into the ready-to-wear space but I am more inclined towards evening.Fav designersCoco Chanel for feminine aspect, McQueen for the craftsmanship and even now what Sarah Burton is doing is fabulous. From India, I look up to Manish Malhotra and I think he is dramatic and glamorous. Also Sabyasachi.Fav fabric and coloursI love using lace and and tulle. As far as the colour palette is concerned, it's very pastel. Be it any season, I love to stick to my pastels. I like vintage cuts and like to go back to the 50s glamour. Fifties changed the way how a glamorous should be, before that glamour was missing.
