Designer diary: Busy as a bee

So much to do, so little time... And as usual, I wish there were 30 hours in a day and six more to sleep through. Shooting with the boss (Salman Khan) for Being Human, Dixcy Scott and for the Bigg Boss promos and the Splash campaign in Dubai made it a rather hectic week.

How does he do it all and yet remain so calm and cool? I get all hyper under the same circumstances. I'm shooting with Jacqueline Fernandez, too, but can't reveal anything! But I love her infectious energy and so, went to watch her Dishoom. I won't say I loved it, but I did enjoy it. I thought a few more songs and a little more story wouldn't hurt, but hey, what more could one expect? I did love Akshay Kumar's cameo, though. And hoped to see more of him in the film (no such luck!). I loved the line, "Your father must have been a baker because you have perfect buns (while referring to John Abraham and Varun Dhawan's rears).

I have to accept that the token gay guy in films is becoming more acceptable. Case in point, when I wrote about 'Save water, bathe with me', I had Rizwan, this tall (6'2"), dark and handsome, muscled, stunning friend of mine ring my door bell at 9 am, all drenched and soaking wet. 'What are you doing here so early?' I asked him. He said, 'You said save water and bathe with me. So, I came for my shower'. I was like what, what, what!

I told him the films are influencing him, to which he said, 'No, your column is.' I asked him if he actually reads my column. He said he didn't, but that his mom reads it out to him. 'Does she know you're here for a shower?' He said, 'Yeah'.

I called up his mum and asked, 'Aunty, where is Rizwan?' She said, 'Beta, he has gone for a run on Carter Road and then to the gym." Not knowing what to do next (so much to do and only 24 hours to do it in, I made him have breakfast till I jumped in the shower and after a quick change, ran down to my car and left for my shoot as I was running late.

Poor Rizwan! I don't know whether he asked my 70-year-old maid Gulabi Aunty to bathe with him. Hahahahahaha....
