With eye on 2019 Lok Sabha polls, BJP to launch ‘Nation with Namo Yuva’ drive

With a view to targeting young voters to win upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will launch a nation-wide “Nation with Namo Yuva campaign” on January 12, on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand’s birth anniversary. 

Under the campaign, the Yuva Morcha will organise various programmes and will contact young voters across the country. 

In a meeting held on Thursday in Jaipur instructions were issued to the party’s office-bearers of the seven morchas.

To win the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP central leadership has set up various programmes for the party’s morchas and frontal organisations. A series of programmes will be organised for the next three months. The office-bearers of the morchas will work to turn the atmosphere in favour of the BJP across the country.

A joint meeting of the party’s seven morchas was held in Vidyadhar Nagar in Jaipur on Thursday. The meeting was attended by the office-bearers of the Youth Morcha, Mahila Morcha, OBC Morcha, SC Morcha, ST Morcha, Minority Morcha and Kisan Morcha. The meeting was addressed by the state organisation general secretary Chandrashekhar and other senior leaders. Information about the upcoming programmes of each morcha was given in the meeting. Senior leaders said that on January 12, the nation-wide “Nation with NaMo Yuva campaign” will be launched on the occasion of  Youth Day, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand. National President Amit Shah will launch this campaign in Delhi where the party workers of Yuva Morcha, youth icons and volunteers of “Nation with NaMo Yuva campaign” throughout the country will be present. Under this campaign, the BJP will form the team of more than 50 lakh youth volunteers across the country. 

Senior BJP leader said that under the campaign, a youth parliament will be organised at every university across the country. BJP will select young speakers through these youth parliaments, who will later be included in the BJP’s election campaign. In this way, Kamal Cup sports competition will be organised in each state. The BJP’s local unit will choose the game for the competition. In this competition, the target is to set up a team of all the districts in the state.
