Western disturbance triggers rains in parts of Rajasthan
Weather Report: Night temperatures also dropped by a few notches across the state
Due to active western disturbance and its induced cyclonic circulation over Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan, almost entire parts of the state received rain and thundershowers with isolated hailstorm resulting a significant drop in temperature during day and night. Maximum temperature at most of the places dropped 2-3 degrees Celsius below normal level.
As per local MeT office report, thunderstorm with light rain occurred at most places in the state during last 24 hours while fog occurred at isolated places in west Rajasthan and hailstorm also occurred at Mt Abu. On Tuesday, Bhadarpur recorded 300 mm of rainfall while 20 mm rainfall occurred at Kotkasim, Vair, Bharatpur, Alwar, Kumher, Bayana, Govindgarh and Nadbai. Chittorgarh and Jaisalmer also recorded 10 mm of rainfall.
In wake of these ongoing rains, both day and night temperatures have already dropped. Weathermen at Skymet Weather said that these systems clearing away, it would pave way for the chilly northwesterly winds blowing straight from snow clad Himalayas.
As a result, it is expected that minimum temperature would drop marginally over western districts of the state including Jaipur by Wednesday and most areas will see significant drop in night temperatures. With this, nights are expected to be chilly in coming week.
Now, these weather systems are moving away eastwards. Therefore, weathermen now expect rains to start clearing up from the state.
However, isolated rains may continue over northern and eastern parts like Dholpur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Alwar and Sawai Madhopur. By Wednesday, weather would clear up completely and sun would show up.
