Aam Aadmi thrilled, thank Raje for her efforts to get work started
Chief minister Vasundhara Raje and petroleum and natural gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday reviewed the preparations of the work commencement ceremony of Pachpadra refinery in Barmer.
The site is all prepared for the ceremony with huge hoardings of Raje and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Raje, along with Pradhan, went to the main stage and spoke to the officials of HPCL local administration. They stayed there for about 10 minutes and took the stock of last-minute preparations as Pachpadra is all set to host Prime minister Modi to mark the commencement of work of Pachpadra refinery.
Raje also saw the model of the refinery which was kept near the stage.
They were accompanied by state BJP President, Ashok Parnami, PWD minister Yunus Khan, MLA of Baytu Kailash Choudhary, HPCL CMD M K Surana, chief secretary N C Goel, DGP O P Galhotra and all the senior officials of local administration and police administration were present.
The VVIPs were seen exchanging views during this time.
They spent some time on the stage after which Raje left for Barmer by helicopter.
Notably, the common people were excited about the refinery’s commencement work and they were expressing their gratitude to chief minister Vasundhara Raje for this in their own way. The cutouts of Raje have become specially popular as selfie points for the young people. On Monday, many people thanked her for the refinery project.
Later speaking to media, Pradhan said that western Rajasthan is a land of immense possibilities not only in field of oil and gas but also in field of solar and wind power. He said that after so many years people of western Rajasthan were getting their due in the form of the state-of-the-art Barmer refinery.
During the day, Pradhan also visited HPCL wind power project on the outskirts of Jaisalmer. Notably, 100 MW of wind power is being produced which is linked to the state grid.
Meanwhile, the officials have been camping in Pachpadra itself in places like Nakoda and in Barmer and Balotra.
Sources informed that more than 3 lakh people are expected to come for the rally which Modi will address on the occasion.
