The maximum temperature at Jaipur was recorded at 42.8 degree Celsius, however, in the evening strong dusty winds accompanied with brief showers damped the city and temperature dropped 10 degrees in less than four hours.

However, no respite from heat is expected as the MeT department predicts the maximum temperature to reach 43 degrees today (Saturday) even as the dust storm and light showers are expected in several parts of the city. The minimum temperature too is expected to float above the comfort zone and remain above 31 degrees.

Similar trends are expected in districts namely Dausa, Alwar, Dholpur, Karauli, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur and Churu as the dust storm and thundershowers are predicted in Eastern Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the heat wave is expected to occur at a couple of places in the western districts as summer remains uninterrupted in the region. However, there might be some relief for Churu that was at 47 degrees and was hottest in the state on Friday followed by Sri Ganganagar at 45.3 degrees.

Largely, a difference of more than 10 degrees is observed in the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded across most cities of the state.
