Rajasthan: Poll preparations begin in districts

With elections just around the corner, all parties are engaged in taking the powerful leaders of different areas on their side. On the other hand, to avoid any wrongdoing, the Election Department of Tonk District has started tightening its grip and the preparations for the elections have started.

Assistant District Election Officer Kailash Sharma claimed that more than two dozen committees have been formed for maintaining law and order in the elections. All teams have been formed from sector officers to flying squads and check posts have also been set up for stopping smuggling of illegal money, liquor and other prohibited items. Along with this, banners, posters and hoardings have been removed in the district and Section 144 has also been implemented.

The photos and videos of the leaders have also been removed from the website and social media pages of the district. This time, 1105 polling booths have been set up in Tonk district. These polling booths have been prepared in 112 sectors, where 112 sector officers have been deployed. These sector officers will collect the information of the area related to polling system, law and order etc.
