Rajasthan pockets two more medals in ongoing Khelo India

Rajasthan is expecting more medals in coming days in various other shooting events as in last few years, a lot of effort and development has been done in the shooting sport in the state.

Rajasthan shooters continue to bring laurels to the state in the ongoing Khelo India games in Pune. On Wednesday, Darshana Rathore won a gold medal in Under 21 girls category of skeet while Anantjeet Singh Naruka won a silver medal in Under 21 boys category of skeet. Darshana aimed for the gold with 49 points in her category while Anant Jeet Singh scored 52 points to win the silver medal. Adding to it, the state got 2nd runners trophy in shooting with 2 golds, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in these games.

A few days back itself, shooter Manavaditya Singh Rathore had won a gold medal in under 21 men’s trap shooting championship while shooter Manini Kaushik won the bronze medal in under 21 air rifle category in 10 meters. Before that, in men’s U-17 air rifle, Divyansh Singh Panwar and Yashvardhan of the state took home silver and bronze medals, respectively.

In shooting, Rajasthan is expecting more medals in coming days in various other shooting events as in last few years, a lot of effort and development has been done in the shooting sport in the state. The Khelo India games participants are competing in two categories, (Under 17) and (Under 21), this year. In its new form, the games, also allow students from colleges and Universities to compete.
