Rajasthan High Court has sought details of the expenditure incurred by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in ‘Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra’. The court has ordered the party to present before the court a detailed affidavit of all the information regarding the expenditure till August 20. The court will hear the case on August 21.

The division bench of Chief Justice Pradeep Nandrajog and Justice GR Moolchandani gave this order while hearing the PIL filed by Vibhuti Bhushan Sharma and others. During the hearing, time was sought on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party state president for presenting the answer. 

On behalf of the petitioner it was said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is saying that chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra is a party programme, but the expenses being made are not being disclosed. 

Government programmes have also been included in the party’s events. In this case, it is a misuse of the government funds, the petitioner said.
