Rajasthan Assembly session to have question hour focused on cows
MLA Ahuja wants to know about action which the government has taken in these cases
After making national headlines, the issue of cows will be raised in the assembly in the state. Questions related to cow smuggling has been listed in the assembly for the 11th session which will be starting from September 5.
BJP MLA from Ramgarh, Alwar Gyandev Ahuja, through question has asked the number of incidents of cow smuggling and cow slaughtering which have happened in his assembly area Ramgarh between January 1 till present. He also wants to know about the action which the government has taken in these cases and about the punishment given to the offenders.
Also, the action plan government has taken to stop cow slaughter and cow smuggling from his assembly area will also be a part of the questions to be raised. Ahuja also wants to know about the details of arms confiscated by police from the cow smugglers between January 2014 till now. Since this, maybe the last session before the elections, the question may lead to political and heated debated on the issue of cows in the state.
In the month of July, Rakbar Khan’s death in police custody after the mob suspected him of cow smuggling had rocked the state. The incident had happened in Ahuja’s constituency Ramgarh. Apart from this question, more than 500 questions have been listed by both opposition members and the members of treasury benches.
While the opposition will be trying to corner the government over a clinical trial case for which question has been put up by Congress MLA Govind Singh Dotasara while issues like Ring Road, Dravyawati etc are also being listed as questions by opposition MLA’s.
There are few ordinances also which will be taken up in the assembly session this time. For how many days the session will continue will depend on the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee.
