Health department has seized more than 1500 zipper and pouch of Pan Parag after verifying harmful ingredients in the paan masala. It has also asked company’s owner Deepak Kothari to clear stock from the market.

Medical and health department teams acted against Pan Parag products in Ajmer and Udaipur. More than 500 zipper and pouches were sealed at C&F of the company.

The department swung into action following report of poisonous elements in the product. CMHO Udaipur issued order for recalling the product. Owner of the company Deepak Kothari was also issued notice to clear the stock from the market. Food inspectors destroyed stock in the city.

Similarly, in Ajmer a team of food inspectors reached C&F near Bohra Masjid. The seller Ramesh Kumar tried to disrupt but food inspector Prem Sharma showed him lab report from Udaipur in which the sample was failed in the safety test.

He seized the product and instructed the firm that there will be ban on selling the product till further order.

In Udaipur food inspectors raided Mandi Naal, Nada Kada and Delhi Gate during which many sellers removed the stock from their shops claiming that they do not sell it. Lakshmi Traders’ Owner said that after the report came he stopped selling it. The stock seized from Lalit Kumar firm was destroyed.
