Passenger bus overturns in Baran, thirty injured

At least 30 persons were injured after an over loaded private sleeper coach passenger bus with about 60 -65 passengers coming from Ahmadabad in Gujarat early on Tuesday morning overturned near Batawada village on national highway number 27 under Anta police station of Baran district. The mishap occurred around 2.30 today early morning. One person with critical injuries was referred to Maharao Bhim Singh hospital in Kota while three to four other patients are admitted at Baran district hospital and the others were discharged after the primary medical care.

A private passenger bus coming from Ahmadabad in Gujarat and going to Bhind – Murena area in Rajasthan today early morning at around 2.30 overturned near Batawada village on NH- 27 after its driver lost control over the steering,  SHO at Anta police station Ramanand Yadav. At least 30 persons travelling by bus sustained injuries in the mishap and were immediately rushed to Baran district hospital where 3-4 persons are undergoing medical treatment with injuries and one person with critical injury was referred to MBS hospital in Kota while others were discharged after the primary medical care, he added.

Police have lodged a case of negligent driving against the bus driver and further investigation into the matter is underway, he added. The actual reason behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained, he added.   

About 60 to 65 passengers were reportedly travelling by the bus when the mishap occurred.
