Led by circle officer Anil Beniwal, armed police on Monday took out a flag march in Kotwali, Aravali Vihar, NEB, Shivaji Park and MIA police station areas of Alwar.

Police has also warned of action against persons who are found spreading rumours about bandh and violence. This is in view of the fact that there has been no call of bandh by any organisation.   One person was killed in Alwar on April 2 after violent clashes between protesters and police during Bharat bandh by the Dalit community. Police issued orders for deployment of armed policemen in all urban and rural areas.

This is because a large number of persons belonging to Dalit, Meena and Mev communities could assemble and protest on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14.   According to Anil Beniwal, “All city station house officers and Rapid Action Force companies and officers took part in the flag march. We have clearly issued a warning to sensitive areas that incidents like April 2 will not be tolerated. The police is committed to providing a fear-free environment.”
