After they took the oath of office, they thronged the secretariat looking to park themselves in the new offices placed at their disposal by the General Administration Department (GAD).
The focus has now shifted to the main building and the mantralaya bhawan in the state secretariat where the rooms of the new ministers have been spruced up for the new occupants. Several ministers first went to Moti Doongri Ganesh Temple and sought blessings of Lord Ganesha and proceeded to secretariat in the SUV vehicles provided to them by department of motor garage.
Cabinet minister Vishvendra Singh did not like the room which was allotted to him. As soon as he entered the room, he sat down on a chair and demanded a different room. The staff on duty showed him around and changed the room as per his preference.
Subhash Garg who has also become a Minister of State (MoS) for the first time got puja conducted by pujari and then occupied his room. Most rooms had remained closed for about a month now as ministers in the previous BJP government had proceeded to their constituencies before the elections.
Cabinet minister Pramod Jain Bhaya has been allotted the room from which Gulab Chand Kataria used to work as the home minister, while Parsadi Lal Meena has been handed over the room, which earlier belonged to Dr Rampratap. Dr BD Kalla who has also become a cabinet minister has been allotted the room where BJP minister Kiran Maheshwari used to sit previously.
