Nutrition Campaign: Team reaches Ajmer

Regarding the international observation to be held under the National Nutrition Campaign being organised by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India in collaboration with the World Bank, a team of World Bank was on a visit to Ajmer district on Saturday. There, the team visited three Anganwadis and showed the work done by the ministry and also appreciated the online work.

As a part of the team of World Bank, about 100 participants from 15 to 20 countries arrived  Ajmer. Upon reaching, they were welcomed by the ministry officials as per the Rajasthani tradition. For the field visit, the team members visited three Anganwadi centres, Gagwana I of Srinagar project, Gagwana II and Ghughra. The World Bank team did a direct interaction with the Anganwadi workers and told them ways to make the online work better.

Women and Child Department Secretary Gayatri Rathore, who was leading the World Bank team, said that this team travels around the world to collect information about malnutrition and proper arrangements for women and children. In this context, the team is on a five-day tour of Rajasthan. 

The team gathered information on the kind of development work being done by the government for children and women by the ministry. Along with it, the information was sought regarding the work done under National Nutrition Campaign and the scheme of World Bank.

On the occasion, the demonstration was given on how the department is working towards Case Online Application. At present, this application is being used in 9 districts of the state and better results have been obtained. In the coming days, it will be run in the entire state which will reduce the paperwork and all the records will be available on mobile.

All the schemes being run by the department for malnutrition and development of women and children were also shown to the members of the World Bank.
