What could bring cheers to 162 employees ahead of Diwali, the JMC has given a job to dependents of 162 deceased employees.

The dependents of the deceased employees, who were hanging out of the job from years were given appointment letters, JMC gave them government jobs. The deceased dependent’s compassionate function was organized at the Municipal Headquarters on Monday. 

The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Urban Development Minister Shrichand Kriplani. While MP Ramcharan Bohra was the special guest of the ceremony, Parliamentary Secretary Kailash Verma, MLA Mohan Lal Gupta, chairman of State Sanitation Workers Commission, Gopal Pacherwal were also present during the event.

During the ceremony, the dependents of 162 deceased employees of the municipal corporation were given the compassionate appointment. In these 162 employees, appointment letters of 125 sanitary workers, 18 class IV employees and 17 junior clerks and 1 assistant revenue inspector, 1 sanitary inspector were distributed.

Mayor Ashok Lahoti said that this is for the first time in the history of JMC that 162 people have been given compassionate recruitment.

Very soon 100 other pending appointments of dead dependent compassionate will also be given very soon.

During the ceremony, compensation to the family of Vishal Babu who died during a mishap with a low floor bus. Compensation amount of Rs2 lakh was given to the mother of the Vishal Jio Babu. The family of the deceased donated this check of Rs 2 lakh  for charity.

CHEQUES GIVEN

  • During the function, checks of Rs10 thousand were distributed under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Urban Livelihood Mission for making 73 women self-help groups self-reliant.
  • During the ceremony, the dependents of 162 deceased employees of the municipal corporation were given the compassionate appointment.
