Recruitment process of Grade-III teachers in state has been struck down again. The Rajasthan High Court, on Wednesday, ordered an interim stay on the recruitment process of 26,000 Grade III teachers.
After withdrawing the stay on the recruitment process on February 8, the state government had given assurance to appoint selected candidates in three days. But the process stands stayed again.
The bench of Rajasthan High Court comprising of justices Sangeet Raj Lodha and Dinesh Mehta passed this interim order during the hearing on the appeal of the case: State Government vs Manish Kumar Nagda.
Applications for TSP and Non TSP were invited on the post of First Class Teacher Recruitment First Level, whose last date was 07 May 2018. In the meanwhile, the central government issued a gazette notification on 19th May 2018 and declared some parts of Udaipur, Pratapgarh and Mount Abu as TSP areas, due to which petitioner, Manish Kumar Nagda, had submitted a plea in the High Court to consider their case. The court gave the petitioners and others the order to extend the benefits to the TSP area as notified by the Centre.
During the hearing on behalf of the government, Additional Advocate General Manish Vyas represented the government. On behalf of Manish Kumar, advocate VLS Rajpurohit argued that new areas have been added to the TSP area and that the candidates are not being extended the benefit in the Grade III teacher recruitment level first.
The Rajasthan High Court sought the full report from the government, and ordered an interim stay till the next order on the entire recruitment process is taken.
