Mayor Ashok Lahoti tightens noose on JMC men for Swachh Survekshan

The team of Urban Development Ministry will come to survey the state capital, Jaipur in the first week of February under the Swachh Survekshan-2018 (Clean Survey-2018).

Under the situation, Jaipur municipal administration does not want to leave any flaws, thereby affecting the ranking of city. The municipal corporation has assigned its entire staff in the cleaning system to improve city’s ranking. Mayor Ashok Lahoti inspected city’s cleanliness system on Tuesday and held meetings with officers at JMC headquarters in the evening.

Mayor along with the JMC Commissioner, Ravi Jain and other officials visited various places in the city for five hours. During the inspection, mayor scolded the officials where he found fault, and instructed to improve. 

In a meeting organised at JMC headquarters, the mayor said that we have to work together in the preparation of Clean Survey 2018.We have to do a good job continuously,to attain number 1 in the clean survey, 2018. Mayor instructed Zonal Deputy Commissioners to improve the cleanliness system by coordinating with their area councillors. 

Mayor said that decentralization of every work in the zone should be done.  Dedicated officers should be appointed at the railway station, bus stand and vegetable markets and coordinate with the respective departments to complete the monitoring of the sanitation system. 

Before this, mayor visited various places of the city including Katputli Nagar, Rajasthan University area, Jawahar Nagar, Delhi Bypass, Transport Nagar, Ramgarh Mode, Jorawar Singh Gate, Subhash Chowk, Ramganj, Ghatgate and Sanjay Bazar.

The mayor instructed to clean the front of RU, remove damaged dustbins from the road and install new ones. He scolded authorities for the dirt and encroachment at Green Valley, Delhi bypass. Mayor instructed to take action against the shopkeepers of Automobile Nagar for  spreading dirt.
