Man attacks Brahma temple priest as President Ram Nath Kovind wasn't allowed there

After getting the information about the incident, the local police reached the temple and arrested the accused who identified himself as Ashok Kumar Meghwal.

In a shocking incident a man attacked the priest of Jagat Pita Brahma Temple, Pushkar, with a sharp-edged weapon on Monday.

Fortunately, quick reaction by the priest identified as Mahadev Puri helped him dodge the attacker and escape serious injures except minor bruises on hand

It may be noted here that the man entered the temple and managed to reach near the priest amid tight security. None of the security personnel present there were aware about the intentions of the attacker. The incident caused panic among the devotees present in the temple. The attack on the priest has also exposed the security arrangements of the temple.

After getting the information about the incident, the local police reached the temple and arrested the accused who identified himself as Ashok Kumar Meghwal. The accused is said to be mentally unstable. 

Meghwal while justifying his action said that he was unhappy as President Ram Nath Kovind was not allowed to worship in the Brahma Temple when he had visited Pushkar recently.

According to the police, the priest has suffered an injury on the hand and he is being treated at the Government Hospital in Pushkar.

The Secretary of Brahma Temple Management Committee and SDM Vishnu Kumar also reached the spot after the incident.

Now, the question that arises is that whether the accused is mentally unstable or he has carried out the attack as a part of a plan. It is worth mentioning here that if he was unstable then how was he able to get inside the temple with a weapon and attack the priest amid such high security.
While now the administration is investigating if there has been a breach of security arrangement at the Brahma Temple and the police are interrogating Meghwal to find out the real reason behind the attack.
