Habit of not drinking sufficient water may cause an increased risk of developing dangerous disease like brain aneurysm which is a critical medical situation when a weak and thin spot, just like in a balloon when it is stretched, occurs in the wall of the brain’s blood arteries. But with the advancement of medical science and technique, such a rare and complex medical conditions can be treated successfully. More than 100 neuro experts from India and other countries discussed and shared such life threatening brain diseases and their modern treatment techniques in Neurofest-2019 on Saturday.  

On the opening day of the conference, session named ‘ask the master’ was the main attraction for the participant experts. During this session, renowned neurosurgeon and professor emeritus of neurosurgery at the Helsinki (Finland) University Hospital Dr Juha Hernesniemi was present as the master and experts from different countries shared the cases they came across with him while Dr Juha answered the course of treatment for their respective cases.

The conference is being organised with the motive of sharing and enhancement of treatment of brain diseases. As we are registering increasing number of brain problem cases, we hope that it will be beneficial for neuro experts in updating their skills and capabilities enhancement of treatment,” said Dr Mala Airun, Zonal Clinical Director, Narayana Hospital.
