On the call of Bar Council of India thousands of lawyers marched from the lower court to Governor’s House to hand over the memorandum.

Lawyers of the Bar Association Jaipur on Tuesday met Governor Kalyan Singh and hand him a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister in support of their demand of re-including lawyers quota as a selection criteria of ADJ exams. On the call of Bar Council of India thousands of lawyers marched from the lower court to Governor’s House to hand over the memorandum.
President of the Bar Association, Jaipur Rajesh Sharma said that boycott of judicial work would continue till February 13.
The ADJ exams have a 25 % quota allocated for lawyers and they can be appointed as judges under this. But an interim order of the Supreme Court that permits judicial officers to also appear for the exam on the seats that are part of quota reserved for lawyers.
