Kota Diary: Man commits suicide by hanging from fan in Mahaveer colony

A 35-year-old man on Wednesday morning was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room in Mahaveer colony under Railway Colony police station area of Kota city. 

It is suspected that the man identified as Vijay Ameriya committed suicide last night while his wife and children were asleep in a room on ground floor. The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained as no suicide note was recovered from his possession.

SHO of Railway Colony police station Madan Lal Khateek said  deceased’s wife went to his room at second floor to serve morning tea but she found the door bolted from inside.

When she peeped into the room through side window she saw found him hanging from the ceiling fan, the SHO said.

Police on Wednesday today noon handed over the body to family members after postmortem, he added.
