Jodhpur Ring Road connecting Jaipur to be a reality soon

The projects had been long finalised but were waiting for the minister’s formal nod for the construction to begin.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated three national highway projects worth Rs. 5,379 crore and laid the foundation stones for three others in Jodhpur on Saturday

The projects include widening of Dangiyavas-Keru-Nagaur section of Jodhpur Ring Road, Gagariya-Bawri Kalan-Sedwa-Bakhasar section of National Highway-925, Sata-Gandhav section of NH-925A, and Munabav-Sundra-Myajlar-Dhanana-Asutar-Ghotaru-Tanot section of NH-70.

“These projects have a total length of 545.456km and involve a cost of Rs. 3,631.20 crore,” a government statement read.

The projects that Gadkari inaugurated include widening of Jaisalmer-Barmer section of NH-68, Barmer-Sanchor-Gujarat Border (up to Gandhav Bridge) section ofNH-68 and Falodi-Jaisalmer section of NH-15 (New NH-11). 

The projects had been long finalised but were waiting for the minister’s formal nod for the construction to begin.

The projects will contribute towards economic uplift of western Rajasthan, improve the security scenario with better connectivity with border areas, and improve connectivity between districts, tehsils and villages.

Earlier, Gadkari participated in the International Maheswari Mahasavivadhi and Maheshwari Global Expo at  polo ground. On this occasion, he was welcomed in Rajasthani tradition. The Chief Coordinator of the program, Sandip Kabra, General Secretary, State President JM Bub and District President Ratanlal Daga along with other office-bearers received him.

Travel Time Cut

The Ring Road scheme will make the travel time less and the journey easier for the vehicles that are going to Jaipur, Pali, Jaisalmer and Barmer and Nagaur Road. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari reached Jodhpur on the Saturday afternoon to launch the project that would have 15 flyovers and underpasses
