Thanking their stars after landing safely in Jaipur, many also raised questions about the working of the airlines while a few were brave enough to dismiss it as a small issue of low cabin pressure inside the aircraft.
One of the passenger, Satish Sharma, with whom DNA spoke said, “There was pressure issue inside the aircraft, some were bleeding and then the flight made an emergency landing in Mumbai. We arrived in Jaipur in next flight.”
Recounting her experience, Shailee Khandelwal another passenger who was on board the flight termed it as scary. “It was scary, I suffered pain in my ears and it is still paining,” said Khandewal who works in Mumbai.
Apart from physical sufferings the most common reaction of the passengers was regarding the nearly zero communication from Jet Airways when they were facing mid-air crsis.
“The crew announced that the plane will return to Mumbai. It then circled in air for around half-and-hour before landing. There was no announcement (related to the problem) from the crew,” said a passenger who arrived at Jaipur airport from Mumbai.
One of the passengers informed that though he did not bleed, he suffered headache and said it radiated to the entire back portion of his head. “I had headache and my ears too got clogged, many people had breathing problem too,” said Chandan Jangid another passenger while sharing his experience with DNA.
