St Anslem’s is the first private school in the city to roll back increase in fee after parents of several schools protested against ‘abnormal’ increase in fee.

“We made a compromise as the parents wanted a roll back of the fee. We took out a mid way which is acceptable to everyone.

The entire situation is not only disturbing the studies but was also disturbing the school environment,” said fr. Melvin Jobard, principal of the school. He further said that the amount has not been reduced by a fixed percentage but, has been reduced to the amount quoted by the parents after calculation for each class.

“We had requested Rs 2,400 above the amount quoted by the parents, and they agreed.

There were several misunderstandings which are now solved,” Jobard explained. “It is a right decision by the principal and we are satisfied,” a parent told DNA.
