Jaipur: Man blames power department for kin’s death

A case has been registered at Malviya Nagar police station wherein the complainant alleged that his brother died due to the negligence of officials of the electricity department. A case has been registered in this regard and the investigation into the matter has been initiated. 

“The case has been registered through a court directive or istagasa. The complainant in the matter is one Vishnu Sharma, a resident of Sambhariya Road of Kanota area of the city. In the istagasa, the man has said that his brother died recently and the man has alleged that the electricity department officials caused his death. It appears that the man was electrocuted due to negligence. Appropriate action will be taken in the matter,” officials said.

Woman beaten, land taken forcibly

A woman from Shastri Nagar area was beaten and the accused took possession of a plot of land belonging to the woman’s mother-in-law. 

“The case has been registered by one Kanta Devi, the mother-in-law of the woman who was beaten. In her complaint, the woman has said that she owns a plot at Indira Verma colony at Shastri Nagar. Few individuals identified as Chandra Prakash Sain, his wife Priti Sain along with Sandeep and Rahul reached the plot and started beating the woman. Hearing her wails, the locals rushed to her help, however, by the time the accused took possession of the land. It appears to be a family dispute over piece of land and we have registered a case.
