Around 1100 contractual employees engaged in various works in three government hospitals including Kota medical college, Maharao Bhim Singh (MBS) hospital and Jay Kay Lon hospital on Tuesday evening called off their two days long strike.

The striking contractual employees had demanded to raise their monthly remuneration and to be paid the same through RMRS) and not through contractual firms.

Various services to the patients are carried out by the contractual employees placed through placement agencies. Payment of remuneration through RMRS is a policy matter and could be decided only by the government, he said adding the contractual employees in all the three hospitals today evening returned to work after the letter of recommendation was dispatched to state government.
