Jaipur: Bomb hoax call to teach eve teaser lesson

The city police arrested one man for the bomb hoax call made on Thursday that resulted in panic even days after a similar call was made and one person was arrested. The arrested accused wanted to teach his sister’s lover a lesson and wanted to get him implicated so that he stays away from her as the other boy had been troubling his sister, hence he concocted the story and made the call. The arrested youth has been identified as 24-year-old Manmohan Sharma, a native of Kota who currently resides in a house in Mahesh nagar area of Jaipur. 

“A youth had been calling up on his sister’s phone repeatedly and troubling her. When Manmohan found out about the same, he decided to do something about it. For the purpose he asked the boy went to meet him on Tuesday at Gandhi Nagar, however, the boy did not come to meet him. Irked over this and with a view to extort vengeance, the youth called up at the police control room on Thursday and informed that youth had been threatening of blowing him up with a bomb and has even planted a bomb at Ajmeri Gate area. The police sprung to action and started sniffing the area for a bomb. When after hours of search no bomb was found, it was realised that a hoax call had been made. Cops then started searching for the caller based on the mobile phone number and found Manmohan. He has confessed that he called up to teach the boy who had been troubling his sister, a lesson. He has been arrested and we are trying to find out about his claims as well about his sister getting calls from a random boy,” officials said.
