Jaipur: Another raksha bandhan to win over cinema owner
Kiran Kanwar, wife of a martyr, arrived at a cinema hall in Barmer and tied rakhi on the hand of cinema owner, offered him turban and took a vow from him for not screening the film Padmaavat at the cinema hall.
At a time when violent protests are taking place against the screening of Padmaavat, a martyr’s wife took the most peaceful path to register his opposition against the film on Wednesday.
She went to a cinema hall of Barmer district and tied rakhi on the hand of the owner and urged him not screen the film.
Kiran Kanwar, wife of a martyr, arrived at a cinema hall in Barmer and tied rakhi on the hand of cinema owner, offered him turban and took a vow from him for not screening the film Padmaavat at the cinema hall. Woman’s peaceful and unique way of protesting impressed Om Prakash Mewara, owner of Lakshmi Cinema. The spirit of the wife of a martyr will be honoured and the film Padmaavat will not be shown at this cinema hall, he said.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Rajput Sabha has given an ultimatum to the Central Government that in 24 hours the government should issue an ordinance for banning on film, otherwise a chakka jam will be enforced across the country and the situation will get out of control.
