Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Sachin Pilot slammed Rajasthan government on Monday for releasing 'less' compensation to the families of the victims of the Beawar cylinder blast. He alleged that administrative negligence caused the tragic incident that took 19 lives.He also visited the kin of the deceased in Beawar and Jodhpur. The victims were attending a wedding in Ajmer — the parliamentary constituency he represented in 2009.The Congress leader said: "This is very unfortunate. May the souls of the deceased rest in peace and those injured recover soon."Pilot blamed the lax in the rescue operations for the high death toll. "The compensation sanctioned is insufficient, too," he added.Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the family members of those killed. Also a financial help of Rs 50,000 each to the injured was announced. On Sunday, she also ordered an administrative inquiry into the incident, appointing the Rajasthan Revenue Board Chairman as the nodal head, who will have to submit his report within a month.
