A 16-year-old IIT aspirant from Nanded city, Maharashtra, currently taking coaching in Kota to crack the entrance exam for admission in IIT-JEE has been reported missing since Friday
The boy identified as Sourabh Balaji was studying in class 11th and preparing to crack entrance exam for admission in IIT in Kota since April this year, said investigating officer of the case Avadhesh Kumar. The boy had been staying in a hostel in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar and had left hostel room for coaching institute on Friday noon but he did not return till late night following which the hostel warden approached Jawahar Nagar police station and lodged a missing report in this connection, Kumar said.
The boy had withdrawn Rs. 1,900 from ATM, he added.
Jawaharnagar police station of Kota city has lodged a missing report under relevant sections of IPC and initiated investigation to trace the boy’s location.
The efforts are underway to trace his location however no clue of his location has surfaced so far, he further said.
