The joint teams of JMC, Police and JDA removed temporary encroachments in front of Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital, Trauma Center, Bangad and Dhanvantari Bhawan on Monday. Five dumper handcarts, kiosks and others goods were seized during the action. Also, to keep a tab over further encroachment, the municipal corporation deployed day-night guards.
There was a considerable number of temporary encroachments in front of SMS Hospital, Trauma Center on Tonk Road and Bangad & Dhanvantari Bhawan on JLN Road. Tea stalls and shops were being operated on the road and footpath.
The entry from the hospital’s gate used to be a hurdle due to kiosks and handcarts and the encroachment on Tonk Road made it difficult to get through the three gates of the hospital. Encroachments did not even spare the Emergency Gate of SMS Hospital. SMS Hospital administration had given a written complaint to the Municipal Corporation and JDA several times on the issue.
During the action, the teams had to face a protest by the vendors. Now, it will be over day-night security guards to keep a check over encroachments.
