The electrification work of Jaipur-Delhi railway track is gaining speed. As per the latest development, the 78 km route between Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Rewari junction section has been completed. Railway security commissioner Shailesh Kumar Pathak has also inspected this track. Before this, the work of electrification of the track has been completed between Rewari station till Alwar. This means that the track between Alwar to Delhi has been electrified and now on this track, goods train propelled by the electric engine can be moved.

Meanwhile, the work on rest of the track is already going on and therefore its expected in coming few months that work between Jaipur and Delhi will be completed fully.

Currently, the work between Alwar and Bandikui is being done along with doubling of tracks. Both Bandikui and Alwar are big stations and lots of train on Jaipur-Delhi route use this route.  Meanwhile, another electrification of the route is going on between Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur.

The work has started becoming visible and the electricity poles being put between Durgapura station going towards Sanganer can be seen. NWR has planned to put about 3100 electricity poles and the work is going on to put them near the tracks in a total distance of 131 route km.

The announcement of electrification of this route was announced in 2017 during the budget as per which the Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur-Reengus route will be electrified.
