Gangster Diaries: His brother now wants to run illegal liquor, extortion and other businesses in Raj
On the night of June 24, 2017, a family from Rajasthan involved in criminal activities received a major blow, the ripples of which were felt across the crime world in the state. On that night, the Rajasthan Police killed gangster Anand Pal Singh in an encounter at Malasar village of Churu district, after he successfully fled from police custody in September 2015.
Though the scourge of terror was broken, now after fifteen months since Anand pal’s death, the family is once again trying hard to get back on its feet. And in the process, take back what they considered as theirs once.
After Anand Pal, now the family is being headed by his brother Vicky. Although lodged behind bars, Vicky is trying to slowly resurrect the gang with a handful of members who are out of police net as of now.
“Initially, Anand Pal gang’s sworn enemy—Raju Theth—tried to gain control by quickly moving his pawns across the chessboard, however, the police crackdown halted his progress and it is now believed that he has given up on the dream of reaching Anand Pal’s pedestal. On the other hand, Vicky is now positioning himself as a person to fill in Anand Pal’s shoes. Issuing threats to certain police officials and even attacking an inspector, who was instrumental in Anand Pal’s encounter, in presence of cops was aimed at establishing his presence in the minds of the gang’s supporters, members and even general public at large,” officials said.
Recently when the news spread that the gangsters were operating their gangs from within the confines of the jail, the police started a massive crackdown against mobile phones smuggling inside the jail and recovered dozens of phones from several jails across the state.
Vicky, by nature is considered to be ruthless and immoral. “Although Anand Pal was a dreaded gangster, yet there was a code with him which he always followed to the hilt. Also there were people he respected, however, with Vikcy it is entirely different. His approach is if its not beneficial to him, it cannot be beneficial to anyone else also. He can go to any length to make sure he comes on top,” officials said.
Different Strokes
Though Anand Pal and his brother Vicky were working as one unit, Vicky left Anand Pal’s gang to form his own gang as his way of working did not match Vicky’s thinking. However, when Vicky could not make it big, he came back to his brother’s fold and now wants to run illegal liquor, extortion and other businesses.
