This closure is based on investigations by the Crime Investigation Department-Crime Branch (CID CB). The CID CB had sent a report to the Alwar police and asked them to remove the names of the six accused.

The CID CB found that the accused weren’t present at the location when Pehlu Khan was lynched.

The investigation is based on their call records, mobile location, police statements, and staff of Raath Gaushala, where they were supposedly at the moment.  Based on its findings, CID CB asked Alwar cops to take out the names of the six persons and also revoke the Rs 5000-award on them.
