The single bench of Justice VS Siradhana gave this order during the initial hearing on the contempt petition filed by Omprakash Saradiwal.
The Rajasthan High Court has sought reply by issuing a notice to the Principal Secretary Panchayati Raj, Panchayati Raj Commissioner and the CEO of Kota Zila Parishad in the matter of not giving payscale benefits to the Panchayat Extension Officer despite the court order. The single bench of Justice VS Siradhana gave this order during the initial hearing on the contempt petition filed by Omprakash Saradiwal.
In the petition, advocate Vijay Pathak informed the court that the High Court had issued an order on March 31, 2015, for providing the benefit of the decided pay scales of the Panchayat Drafting Officer to the petitioner. Even after giving information to the department, the officers did not comply with the court order.
The special court of POCSO cases has sentenced Kamlesh Meena to 10-year imprisonment for abducting a 16-year-old and raping her for several days. Along with this, the court has imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh on the 19-year-old convict from Jamwaramgarh.
On behalf of the prosecution, Special Public Prosecutor Om Prakash Mathur informed the court that on April 15, 2016, the victim went to the forest for defecation.
On not returning, the family went to the convict’s house on the basis of suspicion. There, it was found that the convict is also missing with Rs. 25,000.
