Congress will be seeking divine intervention to make Rahul Gandhi the prime minister. The party workers and leaders in Jaipur will offer special prayers to Lord Shiva on Gandhi’s 48th birth day anniversary on Tuesday to make him prime minister.

Suresh Mishra Congress party state secretary is the man who planned celebration at mass level on party president’s birthday in Sanganer. 

“On this occasion, I, along with party workers, will chant mantras and pray for Rahul Gandhi to be the prime minister in 2019. Special prayers will be offered at a Shiva Temple situated on New Sanganer Road,”said Mishra on Sunday.

A senior party leader said the Pradesh Congress Committee will be drawing up its own programmes on Rahul’s birthday to reach out to the common man. All India Mahila Congress, National Students of India (NSUI) and Seva Dal are also giving final touches to their programmes.

The Youth Congress has already planned a “Run for RG” to spread Rahul’s message of fight for democracy among the common man. Also “shramdan” (physical labour) will be observed in villages to mark his first birthday after becoming the Congress President in December.
